HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Baseball Coach Marcus Clapp on the sweep of Barton:
"It was obviously a big day offensively," Clapp said. "Hayden Parrish and Giuseppe Salvatore were really locked in. Caden Rezac had his stuff working and was pounding the zone early."
Clapp on the contests with NJCAA DI No. 17 Hutchinson and Northeast's home opener Friday:
"The offense kept us in the game, and Brice Wallar was a big part of that," Clapp said. "We are doing some things well offensively, but key errors and free bases are really hurting us right now. Excited to get to play at home and it's another chance for us to get to compete and get better."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will host their home opener with a doubleheader against McCook Community College beginning at 1 p.m. Friday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Baseball Field in Norfolk.
