KRUSEMARK’S 51 ASSISTS LEAD HAWKS OVER TROJANS

MASON CITY, Iowa – The Northeast Community College volleyball team hit the road for an ICCAC clash against North Iowa Area Community College Wednesday. The Hawks were big winners in the showdown by a final score of 3-1 in four sets.

The Hawks (13-11, 2-4 ICCAC) were able to complete the season sweep of the Trojans after taking a 3-0 victory in three sets earlier in the campaign. Kiara Krusemark (Wayne, Neb.) was all over the floor for Northeast as her 51 assists in the matchup were a season high.

Head volleyball Amanda Schultze on what went right tonight:

"We did a good job utilizing our hitters and kept going with our options that worked against NIAAC." Schultze said. "Kiara (Krusemark) did a nice job of being offensive."

Schultze on the keys to having a successful upcoming weekend:

"We really need to stay focused through this weekend and minimize the runs that other teams make against us," Schultze said. "We need to be mentally tough to move on from our errors."

Northeast will participate in the Ramada Inn Classic this weekend starting with Dakota College at Bottineau at 3 p.m. Saturday in Columbus, Nebraska.
