NORTHEAST VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS THE WEEKEND IN MINNESOTA

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team traveled to Rochester, Minnesota Friday to compete in the four-game RCTC Tournament. The Hawks were victorious in all four games and completed a clean sweep of the weekend.

In Game 1 on Friday the Hawks (10-6) downed Minnesota State Community and Technical College 3-1 in four sets. Game 2 against Rochester Community and Technical College also saw Northeast come away with a 3-1 victory in four sets.

The Hawks didn't mess around on Saturday as both of their matchups against Harper College and Joliet Junior College ended without the Hawks dropping a single set.

Head volleyball coach Amanda Schultze on what she saw from her team this weekend:

"The girls did a great job this weekend adjusting our defense and offense when needed," Schultze said. "I felt we improved on a lot and hopefully it's only up from here."

Schultze on what her team can build on from this weekend going forward:

"We need to remember what we learned and continue to make adjustments as needed," Schultze said.

UP NEXT:

Northeast will be on the road for their next three games, a stretch that will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday against Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
