NORTHEAST VOLLEYBALL SPLITS TWO AT MCCOOK INVITATIONAL

MCCOOK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team returned to McCook, Nebraska Friday for the second time this season as they competed in the McCook Invitational. The Hawks were victorious over Lamar Community College but later fell to Garden City Community College.

The Hawks (5-5) pulled off the sweep of Lamar by winning the three sets 25-20, 25-12 and 25-16. Game 2 against Garden City was the first match of the season that went to five sets for Northeast. They won sets one and four by scores of 25-20 and 25-15 but dropped sets two, three and five by scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 15-6.

The Hawks will host the Northeast Triangular next as they will face Hawkeye Community College at 3 p.m. and Central Community College at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
