Nelson, Heppner and Brester named First Team All-Region XI-B; Nelson named First Team All-Conference

NORFOLK, Neb. – The accolades keep rolling in for the Northeast Community College women's volleyball team.

After being crowned the Region XI-B champions on Oct. 28, Savannah Nelson (Wakefield, Neb.), Hannah Heppner (Stanton, Neb.) and Kalli Brester (Howells, Neb.) were named First Team All-Region XI-B recipients.

Also announced by the conference today, Elley Beaver (Columbus, Neb.) and Gabriela Barbosa (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) were named Second Team All-Region XI-B members for their efforts on the court this season.

Along with the Region XI-B honors, the ICCAC All-Conference teams were announced as Nelson was named a First Team member. Heppner and Brester made the Second Team All-Conference list, while Beaver and Delaney Belt (Shelby, Neb.) garnered Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition.

The Hawks will be honored for their postseason accomplishments at halftime of the men's basketball game tomorrow night, before heading east to compete in the NJCAA DII National Tournament beginning Nov. 15 in Charleston, W.V.
