NORFOLK, Neb. – Freshman Hannah Heppner has been part of the go-to offensive attack for the Northeast Community College volleyball squad this season.
The former Stanton, Neb., native was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.
Last week for the Hawks (7-3, 2-0 ICCAC), Heppner tallied 30 kills in nine sets on 52 attacks, committing just eight errors. Heppner has recorded four-straight games of double-digit kills including a season-high 17 against Iowa Lakes Community College on Wednesday.
"Hannah Heppner has been a great asset to our team thus far," Head Coach Amanda Schultze said. "She is a very coachable kid and always does what is asked of her. I am excited to see what the rest of the season holds for her."
Heppner and the Hawks return to action tomorrow night as they square off with Des Moines Area Community College in search of their eighth-straight win at 7 p.m. at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. Live stream will be available at: https://team1sports.com/northeastcc/
