SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Northeast Community College women’s soccer team headed to Sioux City, Iowa Wednesday for a contest against Western Iowa Tech Community College. The Hawks and Comets played to a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.

Northeast (2-6-2, 1-0-1 ICCAC) was powered by their defense in the matchup as they did not allow a goal for the third game in a row. Djoy Zwiesereijn (Wageningen, Netherlands) secured her second clean sheet in two games as the Hawks will now face two ranked foes in the conference in consecutive games as they will take on No. 15 Hawkeye Community College on Saturday and No. 14 Iowa Lakes Community College next Wednesday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.

Head Women's Soccer Coach Chad Miller on the day in Sioux City and looking ahead to the weekend:
"I wasn't to disappointed in our play," Miller said. "We created opportunities but couldn't find that finish we needed. What we are struggling with most is consistency in our game. I am hoping we can find some of that before this weekend."
