No. 10 Hawks crawl back in comeback win over Northeastern

NORFOLK, Neb. – It wasn't easy, but the No. 10 Northeast Community College women's soccer team came back to defeat NJCAA DI Northeastern Junior College on Friday, 3-2 at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
Tied at one goal apiece at halftime, Romeni Gurmendi (Boulder, Colo.) tallied her second goal of the year for the Hawks (2-0) in the 76th-minute to tie the game at 2-2. Naomi Pedroza (Hastings, Neb.) followed suit with a goal three minutes later, her third of the season. Pedroza tallied three shots and three shots on goal in the match.
The Hawks battle Central Community College at 5 p.m. Wednesday in non-conference action in Norfolk.
