FALLIS HAS 21 POINTS IN HUGE VICTORY FOR NO. 24 NORTHEAST AT HOME OVER SOUTHWESTERN

NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 25 Northeast Community College women's basketball team returned home for the first time in over a week as they took on Southwestern Community College Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. The Hawks were dominant throughout and took the contest by a final score of 90-52.

Northeast (13-5, 8-4 ICCAC) scored 45 points off turnovers in the matchup as they were all over the visiting Spartans from the tip, leading by as much as 44 points. Vilique Fallis (Rapid City, S.D.) led the Hawks in scoring with 21 points and all 10 players who entered the ballgame for Northeast scored.

The Hawks will hit the road this weekend to face Ellsworth Community College with just 10 games remaining in the regular season.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:

Head Women's Basketball Coach Matt Svehla on what clicked Wednesday:

"We got off to a slow start, but we got going in a bit in the second quarter and we had a good third quarter," Svehla said. "We got good scoring off the bench, and it was nice to see everyone in the scoring column."

Svehla on hitting the road Saturday:

"We will have a tough road game at Ellsworth on Saturday," Svehla said. "Last time we played them it was down to the wire, so we will need to be ready to go."

UP NEXT:

The Hawks will travel to Ellsworth Community College for a matchup at 1 p.m. Saturday in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
