RICHARDS, FALLIS AND GARROTE LIGHT UP STAT SHEET IN NORTHEAST DEFEAT

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women's basketball team traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska Tuesday night to take on Southeast Community College in the grand opening of a new gym for the Bobcats. The Hawks fell in the battle by a final score of 69-52 and will now head into Thanksgiving break.

Northeast (2-5) and Southeast competed back on November 7 in a matchup that saw Southeast squeeze out a 79-74 victory as the two teams lined up against each other for the second time in two weeks. Allison Richards (Pine Ridge, S.D.) recorded her fifth 20-point game of the season in the showdown and added five rebounds to go with her scoring. Stevi Fallis (Pine Ridge, S.D.) has now entered double figures in points all seven times she has hit the floor this year as she put in another double-digit performance with 12 points against the Bobcats. Clara Garrote (Salamanca, Spain) tied her season-high in points with seven, a mark she also reached Saturday afternoon against North Platte Community College.

Head Women's Basketball Coach Matt Svehla on the night and the upcoming weekend off:

"Southeast did a good job defensively," Svehla said. "We just seemed out of sorts and could not find any rhythm and feel for the game. Hopefully a break is good for us to regroup."

UP NEXT:

The Hawks will be back in action on at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday against Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska.
