NORTHEAST PLACES THREE FRESHMEN ON WOMEN’S ALL-REGION TEAMS

AMES, Iowa – Northeast Community College women's basketball players freshman Allison Richards (Pine Ridge, S.D.), freshman Analyssa Maldonado (Sunnyside, Wash.) and freshman Stevi Fallis (Pine Ridge, S.D.) were all named to various All-Region Teams, it was announced by the ICCAC Tuesday.

Richards was named First Team All-Region after a stellar inaugural season in a Hawks uniform. Richards averaged 16.9 points per game, shot 45.3-percent from the field, grabbed 4.1 rebounds per game and pitched in 2.5 assists per game.

Maldonado was named Second Team All-Region after she was the fifth-leading scorer in the ICCAC over the course of the season, totaling 14.3 points per game. Maldonado shot 40-percent from the field, had 4.7 rebounds per game and connected on 2.7 assists per game.

Fallis was named Third Team All-Region to complete the trio of Northeast freshmen to be honored. Fallis' 3.4 assists per game were good enough to place her sixth in the conference. Fallis tallied 13 points per game, shot 39.6-percent from the field and pulled down 4.5 rebounds per game.
