FALLIS EXPLODES FOR 31 AS NORTHEAST TOPS MARSHALLTOWN

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – The Northeast Community College women's basketball team traveled to Marshalltown, Iowa to battle with Marshalltown Community College Saturday. The Hawks downed the Tigers in the contest by a final score of 92-63.

The Hawks (15-10, 7-7 ICCAC) had an outstanding output from Stevi Fallis (Pine Ridge, S.D.) as her 31 points led all scorers in the contest. Analyssa Maldonado (Sunnyside, Wash.) added 22 points of her own while Autumn Dickmander (Brule, Neb.) and Lexi Schroder (Stuart, Neb.) were both in double figures.

Northeast now enters the last week of the regular season sixth in the ICCAC standings with two games to play.

"We were not real sharp today, but a road win is always good," Svehla said. "We got off to a sluggish start but picked things up a bit in the second quarter. That was important because that gave us a bit more of a lead heading into halftime."

Northeast will take their final road trip of the regular season as they will battle Iowa Western Community College at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
