HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Softball Coach Erin Sharpe on what she saw during the five victories for the Hawks:
"The fight and willingness to do what they need to do to get a team win," Sharpe said. "We are in a good place. We need to clean it up a little on the defensive side, but we are right there."
Sharpe on the trip as a whole:
"I think overall it was a successful trip," Sharpe said. "I think we learned a lot about ourselves and where we can clean things up as conference play starts on Thursday."
Sharpe on what she wants to see with ICCAC play next:
"Our bats show that we can produce runs, and we need to keep building off of that," Sharpe said. "I want to see us going out there every game and competing like it's the conference championship every game. I think if we do that, we will surprise ourselves and others in what we can do in conference play."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will begin conference play on the road against No. 8 Des Moines Area Community College in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday in Boone, Iowa.
