Aguilera named Second Team All-Region; Turner, Lindberg, Julian and Nicolay named Honorable Mention
AMES, Iowa – Brianna Aguilera (Pierce, Neb.) of the Northeast Community College softball team was named Second Team All-Region by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, it was announced Thursday.

The sophomore whose freshman year was cut short due COVID-19, rebounded well in 2021. This year, Aguilera tallied a .398 batting average in 176 at-bats. She also had 36 runs and 37 RBI, including 14 doubles and five home runs. She had a .454 on-base percentage and her slugging percentage was .563. Aguilera was responsible for 192 putouts and 39 assists and had a fielding percentage of .979.
Alyssa Turner (Columbus, Neb.) had 45 hits, seven doubles, 19 RBI and 20 runs, to go along with a .281 batting average. and 20 runs this year. Greta Lindberg (Tekamah, Neb.) notched a .338 batting average, 10 home runs, 44 RBI and five doubles in 154 at-bats. Chantel Julian (Roseville, Calif.) accounted for 36 hits, 24 runs, six doubles and two home runs in 149 at-bats. Freshman Taylor Nicolay (Nebraska City, Neb.) finished her first year in a Hawks uniform with a .348 batting average, accounting for nine doubles, six home runs, two triples, 33 RBI and a .465 on-base percentage.
