NO. 3 HAWKS SECURE ANOTHER CLEAN SHEET AGAINST TRITONS WEDNESDAY

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The No. 3 Northeast Community College men's soccer team traveled to Fort Dodge, Iowa for a duel with Iowa Central Community College Wednesday. The Hawks were victorious in the match by a final score of 4-0.

Northeast (12-1-1, 4-0 ICCAC) and the Tritons played a scoreless first 30 minutes before Edouard Nys (Dottignies, Belgium) put in his nation-leading 20th goal of the season. Lewis Rourke (Nottingham, England) added his 13th score of the year in the second half, which ranks him seventh in the country in goals. Nys and Luca Rosen (London, England) also found the back of the net in the second half while Mathias Kristoffersen (Skovby, Denmark) completed the eighth clean sheet of the year for the Hawks.

Head Men's Soccer Coach Adam Potter on how the day played out:

"Any time you can go on the road in crazy conditions and get a clean sheet, you'll take it," Potter said. "I was proud of the guys today. We have to continue to clean some stuff up and push forward. I told the guys today that you don't become unstoppable by following the crowd. You have to push yourself to be different every single time. We have to keep striving for that as we push forward."

Potter on another matchup ahead on Friday:

"We have an opportunity to keep pushing forward on Friday," Potter said. "We want to keep increasing our intensity and increasing our drive as we head into the playoffs."
