THREE GOALS FOR NYS IN NO. 3 NORTHEAST’S CONFERENCE OPENER AGAINST HAWKEYE

NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 3 Northeast Community College men's soccer team was at home Saturday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk for their conference opener against Hawkeye Community College. The Hawks secured a huge victory by a final score of 6-0 to begin the ICCAC portion of their schedule undefeated.

Northeast (9-1-1, 1-0 ICCAC) found the back of the net just six minutes into the contest as Edouard Nys (Dottignies, Belgium) scored an unassisted goal to put the Hawks on top. Northeast went into the halftime break up 2-0 but goals in the 52nd, 53rd and 55th minutes by Nys twice and Lewis Rourke (Nottingham, England) once opened the showdown up. Marius Elmose (Viby, Denmark) later added a free-kick goal as the Hawks will now get into their conference schedule this week.
