LE COMTE SCORES TWO AS NO. 7 NORTHEAST MEN'S SOCCER TAKES ANOTHER VICTORY

NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 7 Northeast Community College men's soccer team was once again home in Norfolk as they took on Scott Community College during Sophomore Day. The Hawks came out on top in the contest by a final score of 9-0.

The Hawks (13-3, 3-1 ICCAC) were all over the Eagles early and often in a game that might be important for tiebreakers down the line.

Sophomores Reagan Maliska (Glasnow, Scotland), Carlos Jimenez (Denver, Colo.), Tomas Espinoza (Santiago, Chile), Paul Einero (Cape Town, South Africa) and Chad Le Roux (Cape Town South Africa) were honored at the conclusion of the game as part of Sophomore Day festivities.

Head men's soccer coach Adam Potter on how today played out:

"These kind of games are tough," Potter said. "We have a lot to clean up still, but at the end of the day we walked away with three points!"

Potter on sending the sophomores out with a win:

"It means a lot," Potter said. "Especially to win the way we did against an opponent that beat a handful of our sophomores on this exact field last season."

UP NEXT:

Northeast will load up as they will begin to face conference opponents for the second time season, starting with North Iowa Area Community College at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mason City, Iowa.
