NORTHEAST GRABS ANOTHER VICTORY AS HUSTON EXPLODES AGAIN FOR 27 OVER NIACC

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men's basketball team welcomed North Iowa Area Community College to the Cox Activities Center Saturday for a conference showdown. The Hawks snagged a 108-91 victory over the Lakers as five players scored in double figures.

Northeast (10-10, 6-8 ICCAC) trailed at halftime but got things going in the second half as the Hawks scored 60 second-half points compared to just 42 from NIACC. Ryan Huston (York, Neb.), Johanes Piscikas (Lakeville, Minn.), Sunny Singh (Queens, N.Y.), Scottie Johnson (Denton, Texas) and Lochie Harvey (Yarrawonga, Australia) were all in double figures to give Northeast their second triumph of the week.

Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on the keys to tonight's victory:

"We played well together," Clark said. "This game was a culmination of us finding the right reads and making the right plays while making open shots. We adjusted our defensive scheme and guys responded. Credit to our guys for playing hard."

Clark on facing No. 10 Iowa Central Wednesday night:

"It's going to be tough, but we play well on the road," Clark said. "Playing at Iowa Central is a tough place to play. They are a good team, but we have some life now and some confidence. I'll take this team against any team in the conference right now. We are playing well."
