NORTHEAST DROPS CONTEST TO NO. 2 DMACC MONDAY ON THE ROAD
BOONE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team was in Boone, Iowa Monday night for a matchup with No. 2 Des Moines Area Community College. The Hawks fell in the contest by a final score of 106-66.

Northeast (6-6, 2-4 ICCAC) trailed the highly-ranked Bears by just 11 at the halftime break but struggled to get things going offensively in the second half. Johanes Piscikas (Lakeville, Minn.) continued his strong semester with 23 points and three steals in the showdown as the Hawks will now have a few weeks off before returning to the floor against Southwestern Community College at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7 in Creston, Iowa.

Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on the difference against the No. 2 Bears:
"Wasn't the effort we wanted out of the half," Clark said. "We didn't shoot well in the first half and hoped to shoot better in the second half."
Clark on how he wants his group to use the winter break:
"Looking to get guys healthy and ready for the second half of the season," Clark said.
