HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on the night against the nationally-ranked Panthers:
"It has kind of been a buzzsaw to start conference play with Iowa Central ranked No. 5 and Ellsworth ranked No. 6," Clark said. "They probably are the two best teams in our conference. Ellsworth won on the road at No. 1 Kirkwood earlier this week. We executed better than we did against Iowa Central, but we have to find a way to get stops. Points in the paint were 54 to 38. We have to find an identity. We can score, but if we can't get stops, it will be tough."
Clark on rebounding this week with two road games on the schedule:
"We are going to play as hard as we can against Iowa Lakes and hopefully take care of our business," Clark said. "Saturday at Western Iowa Tech will be another tough one. Our goal is to be 2-2 at the end of this upcoming weekend in conference play. That will set us up well. It's easy to get down after two conference losses, but that's this conference and every night is a battle. We'll get right back to it."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will take on Iowa Lakes Community College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night in Estherville, Iowa.
