Hawks glide past Morningside JV

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men's basketball team saw four players score double-digit points on Monday night as the Hawks downed Morningside College JV, 91-85 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

Leading by two at halftime, the Hawks (5-5) managed to out-score the Mustangs 52-48 in the final half, while shooting 44 percent from the field and 44 percent from the three-point line.

Emmette Page (Crystal, Minn.) and Oyiti Amum (Melbourne, Australia) collected 15 points each, while Page dished out seven assists and grabbed four rebounds. Ben Moxness (Scribner, Neb.) added 14 points, five boards and four 3-pointers. Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) had 11 points, five rebounds and five assists.

The Hawks are back in action at 7 p.m. on Dec. 2 when they square off with Little Priest Tribal College in Norfolk.
