NORTHEAST’S FITZPATRICK NAMED NJCAA SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICAN

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Northeast Community College student-athlete Brady Fitzpatrick (Bellevue, Neb.) was named 2026 NJCAA DII Baseball Second Team All-American, it was announced by the NJCAA.

Fitzpatrick was dominant in the heart of the order for the Hawks in 2026 and patrolled center field all season long. The sophomore played in 58 games, hit for a .420 batting average, blasted 12 home runs, recorded 60 RBIs, tallied 79 runs and stole 22 bases. Fitzpatrick came to the plate exactly 200 times throughout the year and recorded 84 hits while drawing 40 walks for an on-base percentage of .534.

Having already been named First Team All-Region by the ICCAC, an honor that he also earned at the conclusion of his freshman campaign, Fitzpatrick now becomes the first baseball All-American at Northeast since Colin Lynam (Springfield, Neb.) in 2021. He has signed to continue his academic and athletic career at NCAA DI Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Northeast's season was highlighted by a weekend sweep of No. 3 Kirkwood at home, and the Hawks tallied 32 wins throughout 2026. Fitzpatrick had two instances throughout the year where he blasted two runs in a game and had 29 games where he recorded multiple hits.

With the inclusion of Fitzpatrick, Northeast Athletics officially produced three All-Americans throughout the 2025-26 calendar year as men's soccer student-athlete Len Valkema (Leewarden, Netherlands) and women's basketball student-athlete Aaliyah Jones (Rapid City, S.D.) will join Fitzpatrick in having their faces on the wall at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk for years to come.
