COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Despite shooting 53 percent from the field, the Northeast Community College women's basketball team was unable to knock-off rival Iowa Western Community College, falling 67-61 in conference action Saturday in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The Hawks had the upper hand in the third quarter, allowing only nine points to the Reivers to take a 51-48 lead heading into the fourth quarter. But, it was the Reivers that rallied to record 19 points in the final stanza to hand the Hawks their first conference loss of the season.

Eriana Brown (Des Moines, Iowa) netted a career-high 19 points, three rebounds and two steals. Jade Blackburn (Surrey, England) added nine points, four rebounds and two blocks, while Kyla Moore (Norfolk, Neb.) added eight points in the loss.
