NORFOLK, Neb. – Freshman point guard Emmette Page (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) made a splash in his first year with the Northeast Community College men's basketball team.
On Monday, the ICCAC announced its All-Region Team, naming Page to the second team and sophomore Seth Coatta (Minnetonka, Minn.) to the honorable mention list.
Page was second on the team in points, averaging 15.7 per game in 26 starts. He hit 43 percent of his shots from the field and 39 percent from three-point land. His largest scoring effort came on Jan. 23 at Central Community College where Page tallied 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field. Throughout the season, he also dished out 3.5 assists and grabbed three rebounds per game.
Coatta led the Hawks in points with 17.1 per game in 23 starts. The sharp-shooter hit 54 percent from the field and 41 percent from beyond the arc. He also grabbed 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He had eight games with 20 or more points, with his best outing against Quakerdale Prep Academy on Jan. 5 with 32 points.
The Hawks lose three sophomores to graduation and return nine freshmen.
