DEVILS LAKE, N.D. – The Northeast Community College men's basketball team out-scored North Dakota State College of Science by seven points in the second half, but it wasn't enough as NDSCS topped the Hawks 66-63 at the Devils Lake Classic on Saturday in Devils Lake, N.D.

Down by nine points at half, the Hawks (4-4) made a strong effort to cut the deficit, but it wasn't enough as NDSCS held the Hawks to 35 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

Freshman Emmette Page (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) tallied 21 points and five assists. Seth Coatta (Minnetoka, Minn.) had 16 points and six boards, while Moses Byekwaso (London, United Kingdom) added 10 points and four rebounds.

The Hawks shot 42 percent from the field in the loss and tallied 26 rebounds and 12 assists.

The Hawks continue non-conference action, squaring off with Southeast Community College at 7 p.m., tomorrow at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
