Northeast men’s and women’s basketball games moved to different times; Toys for Tots drive slated for Thursday night

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women's basketball game against Midland University JV scheduled for 5 p.m. on Thursday has been moved to 6 p.m. at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

The Northeast Community College Athletic Department will also be hosting a Toys for Tots drive on Thursday night. Fans of all ages are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game. Everyone will also have the opportunity to meet with Santa Claus during halftime.

"Bring your kids and have them bring their friends out to enjoy some great basketball and to see Santa before he heads back to the North Pole for his final preparations before Christmas Eve," Northeast Dean of Student Life and Athletics Kurt Kohler said. "Santa will arrive around halftime of the game, and he will also be available for pictures with the kids."

Admission to all Northeast athletic events is free.

On Saturday, the Northeast men's basketball team was scheduled to play Little Priest Tribal College at 7 p.m., but will now play at 1 p.m. in Winnebago, Neb.
