Northeast Athletic Department to host Toys for Tots drive

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College Athletic Department will be hosting a Toys for Tots drive on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 during two Northeast basketball games at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

Tomorrow night, the Northeast men will battle Concordia University JV at 7 p.m., and on Dec. 13, the Northeast women will take on Midland University JV at 5 p.m.

"Santa has decided to come to Northeast to catch the final two home basketball games of the semester and pass out goodies to all the good little boys and girls," Northeast Dean of Student Life and Athletics Kurt Kohler said.

Fans of all ages are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game. Everyone will also have the opportunity to meet with Santa Claus during halftime of each game.

"Bring your kids and have them bring their friends out to enjoy some great basketball and to see Santa before he heads back to the North Pole for his final preparations before Christmas Eve," Kohler added. "Santa will arrive around halftime of each game, and he will also be available for pictures with the kids."

Admission to all Northeast athletic events is free.
