NORFOLK, Neb. – Coming off a dominating win on Tuesday night over No. 9 Kirkwood Community College, the Northeast Community College volleyball team finished second in the ICCAC standings and will now host the Region XI-B Tournament.
Beginning on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Cox Activities Center, the Hawks will battle No. 7-seed Southwestern Community College followed by No. 3 Hawkeye Community College and No. 6 North Iowa Area Community College at 3 p.m.
The winner of both matches will play in the Region XI-B Championship at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The highest seeded champion qualifies for the National Tournament, while the lowest seeded champion advances to the District Championship to be played against the winner of Region XVI with the lower seeded Region XI Champion hosting.
The National Tournament is slated for Nov. 15-17 in Charleston, W.V.
Cost for the tournament will be six dollars for adults, four dollars for children and Northeast students will get in for free. No other passes will be accepted.
